Welcome to Fullerians RFC U9's section!

This Squad is for children who turn 9 years old on or after 1st September 2024 through to 31st August 2025. This means any boys or girls who are currently in Primary School Year 4 starting in September 2024.

We play by the RFU's Age Grade Rugby rules for Under 9's, which involves a transition into contact rugby. Our primary focus is to teach children safe techniques of tackling and being tackled, so they can continue enjoying the game for years to come. Given the increased level of contact at this age, a gum shield is essential for your child.

The Fullerians RFC minis section is passionate about what we do, but winning matches is not our top priority. Our goal is to introduce children to the wonderful world of Mini Rugby, allowing them to experience the discipline, teamwork, fun, and excitement.

All our coaches are RFU-qualified and DBS-checked, and each team has designated first aiders. Additionally, our coaches and admins have children in the U9's age group and volunteer their time.

New players are always welcome! As a new player, you can try three sessions, before deciding to join the club and pay the annual membership.

The new season has started, but children can join at any time. If your son or daughter is interested in learning rugby in a fun, safe environment, please feel free to come to our Sunday morning training sessions from 9:30-11:00 am.
