Welcome to the U11s Girls squad for girls who are in Year 5 or Year 6 at the start of September 2018.
The RFU Age Grade rules allow girls to play in mixed teams and at Fullerians RFC we provide an additional opportunity to play in a girls only team with training on a Wednesday night.
Our current training is being run on the following dates:
June to August 2018
Wednesday Nights - 7pm to 8pm
September 2018 to April 2019
Wednesday Nights - 6.15pm to 7.30pm
When the season starts in September 2018 the girls can then play games and train on a Sunday morning with their mixed age groups. The Year 5 girls would be part of the U10s and the Year 6 girls part of the U11s.
We are passionate about what we do, but what we do is not about winning matches at all costs. Our goal is to bring children into the wonderful world of Rugby, and to allow them to experience the discipline, fellowship, fun and excitement to be had.
All of coaches are RFU qualified and DBS checked as well as first aid trained. Some of the coaches all play at Fullers and have been part of the club for several years. All the coaches give up their time voluntarily and have children involved in the teams.
Every child has a place in Rugby and there is place for every child. As Head of Girls Rugby Alban ensures we do not stream our teams and we ensure that everyone has fun each week by getting fully involved.
We welcome new players and we are always looking for girls to join our squad of players. As a new player you get chance to try three sessions before you commit to joining the club, after which you will have to pay the subs and buy the kit.
A gum shield will be required from the outset, though. That's important!
