Furies U18s Win!

A cold dull day saw the U18 girls kick off another Bucks League Match against Hitchin. So we could make sure all players had as much as a game as possible we “lent” Jess and Amy to them, as well as Anna from Finchley who had come to join us. Izzy from Finchley stayed on the Fullers side.
The game kicked off and within 5 minutes, Gbemi had scored not 1, but 2 tries, 1 of which was converted by our brilliant kicker Amelia. The rest of the first half saw some spirited defending on both sides, with another try by Imogen and 1 from Gbemi again converted by Amelia.
Hitchin came back strong in the 2nd half with a quick try which they ably converted. However, another 3 tries by Imogen and 1 from Gbemi proved too much for them, especially Amelia for putting in 5 conversions in total.

Congratulations to our player of the match, Sophie (chosen by Hitchin). Also massive thanks to Anna and Izzy from Finchley for getting stuck in and being part of the team as well as thanks to Jess and Amy for being great sportspeople and playing for Hitchin.

Final score was recorded as 49-7, leaving the team at the top of the Bucks League with a 50 point margin.
