Fullerians Colts continued their unbeaten run in the Herts and Middlesex League with a hard-fought win over Hemel Camelot. In an encounter that was always going to be bruising, the home team went down to two early tries from Camelot and were forced to chase a game at 0-10 down.
Fullerians responded with tries from Joel Feeley and Brandon Fowler, but could not hold on to their 12-10 lead going in to half time thanks to another score from the visitors just before the whistle.
When Camelot scored first after the restart, Fullerians were facing an uphill struggle to claw back a 12-20 scoreline. But claw it back they did. A try from Kyran Feasey put the home team within one score of the lead, and this came shortly after through a well worked lineout-and-maul to put Sam Wright over the line. Outstanding defence from the home team kept the visitors out and ensured Fullerians Colts an early Christmas celebration.
