Last night on a crisp and clear spring evening Fullerians Rugby club enjoyed a visit from the Womens Rugby World Cup and over 100 local players of all ages and ability.

The trophy has been on a whirlwind tour of the UK’s clubs schools and colleges since the famous England victory in September of last year.

The Cassiobury based club welcomed players and families from around the county for a fun session of coaching including obstacle courses, touch rugby and a constant stream of delicious food!

The club provided their RFU qualified coaches namely Tom Courtney and Charlie White, head coaches of senior mens and womens sections to run the evenings sessions. Fullerians Director of Rugby Spencer Craze said "I am delighted we were able to host such a unique event and seeing the enthusiasm of the younger players was just great". Fullerians Rugby Club are celebrating their 100th year this year and “this evening highlights how important community clubs are and how much focus we place on family and inclusivity“ he continued.

The clubs’ senior women, currently riding high in the league, and men train every Thursday and are always welcoming new players at any standard.
