Fullerians Rugby Club was proud to host a vibrant and energetic Tag Rugby Festival today, welcoming Year 5 and 6 pupils from primary schools across the local area. The event was organised by the Three Rivers & Watford School Sports Partnership and brought together young players for a morning of rugby, teamwork, and fun.
The festival followed a T1 round‑robin format, giving every school the chance to compete in multiple games while developing their confidence and skills. The pitches were full of enthusiasm as pupils showcased great running, tagging, support play, and—most importantly—huge smiles throughout the day.
? Congratulations to Rickmansworth Park, who emerged as the overall winners of the festival with a brilliant display of teamwork and determination.
The atmosphere around the club was buzzing from start to finish, with teachers, volunteers, and supporters helping create a positive and inclusive environment for all participants. For many of the children, it was an introduction to rugby in a safe, enjoyable format, and a brilliant opportunity to stay active and experience the values of the sport.
Fullerians extends a big thank you to all the schools who attended, the Three Rivers & Watford School Sports Partnership for their organisation, and everyone who contributed to making the festival such a success. We look forward to welcoming the next generation of young rugby players back to the club again soon.
