Fullerians 1st XV got back to winning ways on Saturday with a well earned victory against a strong Bishops Stortford II’s side.
Fullerians took a first quarter lead with tries from Adams and Smith, both on the back of strong set piece moves. On the half hour mark a penalty against Fullers allowed Stortford to secure a line out close to our line, resulting in a well taken try.
This galvanised the Fullers attack, with Adam’s going over for his second try only three minutes later on the back of another well worked lineout maul.
The second half was one for the purists, a tight affair until the hour mark when another well executed Fullerians line out, followed by four swift rucks, resulted in Adams securing his hat trick try. Stafford managed to have the final word scoring their second try in the last minute of the game.
Fullerians now sit fifth in the league table, and travel to 6th placed Eaton Manor II’s next weekend.
