Fullerians is celebrating its centenary in rugby season 26/27 and at the Hancock lunch last Saturday, the current 1st XV captain Jack Hobbs met and chatted with the club’s oldest living captain Geoff Osborne.
Geoff skippered the side in 1964 and still comes down to the club when he can. He’s 90 years old.
The 1960s set the standard for the Coningesby Drive club which saw them become the county’s strongest outfit over the following decades.
On the field on Saturday, Fullerians faced a very strong team from Hemel Hempstead and were beaten 24-31.
“Saturday’s result versus Hemel Hempstead didn’t go our way but we have a young squad that is improving week on week” said director of rugby Spencer Craze.
