Our current Rugby Safe Lead & First Aid Coordinator, Julie Thomas, will be stepping down at the end of next season (2026/27), and so we starting our search for her replacement for 2027/28. We are looking for someone to shadow Julie from next season to help keep our players safe and supported in the future.

Main things you’ll do:

• Arrange occasional first aid courses for volunteers
• Order first aid stock and pass it on to teams when needed
• Coordinate and support team first aid volunteers
• Encourage new first aid volunteers to get involved
• Keep an eye on volunteers’ qualifications and simple online courses
• Promote and monitor accident and injury reporting across the club
• Help the club maintain RFU RugbySafe standards and protocols

Each team is still responsible for having first aid cover, reporting their own incidents, looking after their kit bags and requesting replacement stock, so this role is mainly about support and coordination rather than doing everything yourself.

This role would suit someone with a current first aid qualification (or willing to get one) who is approachable, organised, and enjoys being part of a supportive club community.
