Fullerians made the short journey to Beaconsfield this week fresh on the back of a good win over Windsor the week before and came away with a rare bonus point draw.
Fullers started well with Sam Harrison returning from university to bolster the depleted back line with Cavanagh, Evans and Woodham all sidelined through injury and it was Harrison who cheekily chipped the Beaconsfield back line to allow Liam Mann to collect and score with only 5 minutes on the clock, skipper Ben Matchett converted with ease.
Matchett extended the lead some 10 minutes later with a penalty in front of the posts.
Beaconsfield then turned the game completely with 3 tries, only one converted, and a penalty in 15 minutes to leave Fullers shell shocked.
Half time 20-10
Fullerians started the half well and started to take control when Sean Deller was yellow carded after being adjudged to of illegally joined the ruck. Despite the set back Fullers defended superbly and pressed Beaconsfield back and back before being awarded a scrum 5 meters out, step forward the pack and in particular George Harvey who casually dotted down after a quite excellent scrummage. Matchett slotted brilliantly from out wide.
Beaconsfield then found themselves down to 14 and Fullers kicked in with another piece of excellent scrummaging this time Harvey ran from 5 metres out off the back of the scrum to grab his second try of the afternoon but this time Matchett pushed the kick wide. The hosts then bounced back and scored a very well worked converted try to retake the lead with 5 minutes to play.
Fullers knew they deserved more than a losing bonus point and were bizarrely awarded a line out when Matchett appeared to of kicked the ball off the field between the goal line and dead ball area, nevertheless a catch a drive was on the cards and ever present Liam Boyd was rumbling with the pack and broke free to touch down in the corner to tie the game, Matchett having earlier slotted from almost the same position agonisingly came up short with the conversion.
