We are immensly pround to confirm that Liam Boyd and Rich McCabe from our men’s 1st XV have been called up to the Hertfordshire RFU Mens Representative Squad this year, for their Bill Beaumont RFU County Championship campaign.

Both players have participated in training and have not looked out of place.

Following their heavy defeat at the hands of Yorkshire, Hertfordshire entertained Lancashire this Saturday (12th May), when Richard McCabe made his County debut. Rich was brought on as a replacement early in the second half. Unfortunately, Hertfordshire narrowly last the game 39-44.

David Toon (Herts RFU Manager) said “Rich & Liam were on our radar throughout the season due to their consistent performances for Fullerians. They have really bought into what county rugby is about and hopefully benefited being in a different training environment.

Hertfordshire play Cheshire next, on 20th May, when we hope that both Rich and Liam get to see action!
