Friday Night Lights for the U12s

Barnet were the first visitors for the U12s Friday Night Lights series. The lights and mist created a special atmosphere, and the play on the field was also magical too. Spectators from both teams were in good voice, supporting all players to achieve their potential.

On the field Fullers ran out 5-2 winners, with tries from Tayler, Ollie and Ellis with great energy and enthusiasm on display throughout. Having worked on going through phases and getting continuity over the last few weeks in training the whole Fullers team were able to demonstrate this on the pitch.

However, try of the night came from Barnet with a great cross field kick to turn the defensive line which was caught on the bounce by the lightning quick fullback who scampered in from 30 yards out.

A mixed team’s game followed showing true rugby values, and chilli con carne back at the clubhouse to warm up.

Thanks to Barnet for visiting and making this first floodlit match such a special occasion. Ruislip are next up on 2 December, where we get to renew our friendly rivalry from last season’s rugby tour.
