Fullerians Under 12s played three games against Harpenden today, and won all 3!

A good days work for Fullerians U12s as they managed a clean sweep against Harpenden today.

First up was a clash between the experienced players from Harpenden and Fullerians. Fullerians put Harpenden under pressure from the start, in what was a tough fixture. Our strong scrum and line out kept Harpenden pinned in their own half, and the pressure payed off when Fullerians took the lead 5 minutes in to the half. Unfortunately Harpenden were straight back into the game when an unpredictable bounce took the ball past our full back and into the hands of their players following up their kick ahead.
Further pressure from Fullerians let them take the lead again just before half time. Sustained pressure from Harpenden was repelled by Fullerians, with Harpenden unable to take advantage of a series of penalties close to Fullerians try line.
When Harpenden did draw level it was another try scored by the ball coming out of a ruck, and Harpenden reacting first. With just seconds left Fullerians managed to break through the Harpenden defence to score the winning try with just seconds to spare.
A number of players stepped up to the challenge for this math, with Lewis returning to the form that won him most improved player last year, and Billy starting to show the power that he has.

Our less experienced players were up next, and despite managing to put a foot in touch about 6 times when they should have scored, they still managed to win. Their first try was following a charged down kick from a Harpenden line out, for the second William Nokes went over in the corner, and the last was a 40m foot race won by a barnstorming Josh Pressler, who in his excitement almost forgot to put the ball down! On top of his one man ruck this was a memorable game for Josh.

This aaas followed by a short return fixture for the experienced players. Harpenden did not seem as keen on the match, and Fullers won convincingly.

A good day for all the players, everyone is starting to put the game plan into action. If we carry on this way for the remainder of the season we will be hard to beat!
