Fullerains start well, but lose the last two thirds by some distance.

Fullerians got off to a flyer against Old Elthaniams this Sunday, running in three unopposed tries in the first 15 minutes, and keeping the presssure on the opposition. Eamon managed to add the conversions to two of the tries, and it looked as though it would be a great day for Fullers. The ball was finding its way to the wings, and they were making plenty of ground. Jayden's try was probably the pick of the tries as he used speed and strength to get passed nearly every OE player.
However it was OEs who heeded the words "Observe, Adapt and Overcome" as they proceeeded to score 9 unanswered tries in the last two thirds as Fuller's tacking and alignment fell apart.
Jayden managed a try saving tackle from 50ms away that even the opposition applauded, but the good tackles were far and few between until the fnal 5 minutes, when Joe Page, Luke, Otis and others started to do the hard work, sadly to late to effect the result.
OEs were good opponents, and we have already organised a return fixture for next season. But we will need to improve on fitness and alignment before then, too often being sucked in to the ruck and maul leaving overlaps on both sides. The lack of midweek training since December seems to havean adverse effect on our play, and the build up of fixtures due to the rain and wet weather means that we have been playing rather than training.
Next up id Old Albanian C team, and we will have to improve to beat them.
Ration the Easter Eggs and get out running before then, or else we will struggle for our remaining fixtures!
