Fullerian Bs continue their excellent recent form to get narrow win over Chestnut B.

Fullerians were down against Cheshunt B in the quarter finals of the County Shield.
Due to bad planning by the fixtures secretary, the game was planned for the last Sunday of half term, making a number of players unavailable.
However the 18 players available managed to get a scratch team out, and despite early pressure from Cheshunt they managed to take the lead, with Emmanuel showing scorching pace to score a break away try under the sticks. Charley managed to convert, even with his legs suffering from the long coach journey home from skiing.
Cheshunt pinned Fullers back in their half again, and desperate tackling caused another turn over that Tommy scored from. Unable to make it any closer than the touchline, Eamon was left with a difficult conversion which threatened the posts without quite going over.
More pressure by Chestnut still did not result in a try, when Jayden pounced and showing a neat turn of speed on the boggy conditions went scampering over for Fullers third try. Charley once again took the easy conversion, making the score 19-0.
Cheshunt rallied as the half drew to an end, and managed to score under the posts. Despite the fears of the coaches, they contrived to miss an easy conversion, making the half time score 19-5.
The second half started much the same with Chestnut in the ascendency. Fullers tackled well, especially Eamon with some last line of defence tackling, but the pressure told and Chestnut scored again, with the conversion making it 19-12.
Fullers attacked straight from the kick off, and despite looking as though they were trying to stay as close together on the pitch as possible, managed to force a knock on and win an attacking scrum. Fullers attacked the line, and Lewis picked up and drove over from close range to make it 24-12. Once again Eamon scratched the posts from wide out, but could not quite get the extra 2 points.
Cheshunt rallied once more, and put Fullers supporters through the emotional mill as they managed their third try of the game. The conversion made it 24-19 with 10 minutes to go.
Fullers went on the attack again, with Fred picking up from the base of the scrum again and again, fooling defenders and attackers alike with his runs into unchartered territory. Josh Pressler and the rest of the pack supported him, and even Joe Page's backwards kick, Alex's flyhack rather than put his hands out and catch the ball, could not stop Fullers from finishing the game on the attack.
Final score 24-11 to Fullers and the semi-final beckons!!
